The Birds and The B’s Concert by the Shoreline Symphony Community Orchestra

The Shoreline Symphony will present a performance entitled “The Birds and the B’s” on the first day of spring: Sunday, March 20, 2016, at 4:30 p.m., at First Lutheran Church of North Muskegon, 1206 Whitehall Rd., Muskegon, MI.

The performance is free of charge.

The concert program includes symphonic music evoking the sounds of birds and bees, including:

  • Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee
  • Movements from Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite
  • Movements from Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 in F Major (Pastorale)
  • “Hens and Roosters”, “Aviary”, “The Cuckoo”, and “The Swan” from
    Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals

Preceding the concert, Shoreline Symphony Director Annette Jurcevic will host a brief discussion about the music and the composers who wrote it. Audience members are invited to ask questions and participate in a dialogue. The pre-concert talk will begin at 4:00 p.m.
